About the Project

“Establishment of Common Use Ateliers in TRB2 Region” is a project co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye, supported within the scope of the Competitive Sectors Program implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

In order to strengthen the industrial infrastructure in our region, Common Use Ateliers (ORTKA) were established in Bitlis, Muş and Van/Erciş. The project aims to increase the competitiveness of SMEs operating in the region by enabling them to use the machinery and equipment, which they need but cannot obtain due to high costs, in the common use ateliers. SMEs operating in the automotive, metal processing and wood/furniture sectors are expected to benefit from these facilities.

Erciş ORTKA provides services in 3 sectors: metal processing, automotive and carpentry/furniture. Bitlis ORTKA serves in the metal processing sector and Muş ORTKA serves in the metal processing and automotive sectors.

In order for SMEs to survive, it is essential that they are able to engage in technology-intensive production, have access to quality and affordable machinery and equipment services, and be able to offer products and services that meet customer demand. In order for this change to be successful, it is crucial that SMEs develop a culture of collaboration.

Cooperation between SMEs in the region and ORTKAs will contribute to the development of these aspects.
